S.H.E. Newbie

 I am going to try a version of Sidetracked Home Executive using the index card method. I am awaiting the book because, as usual, our library system doesn't carry it in any form so I ordered a used copy. I have some index cards and monthly dividers but no date cards nor colored ones. Debating on just coloring the tops of white ones for now. I am on a low spend right now and so do not want to order anything at least until I get the book. 


I am retired and I have no routine or discipline. I spent the first year introverting big time and trying to unwind 64 years of "you must" "you should" and the guilt trips that come along with it. I have a chronic illness and so trying to learn a new way of dealing with that other than total panic all the time.


So where I am at, my goals are...


  1. Exercise
  2. Eat better (aka lose weight before it is too late)
  3. Get the house shoveled out

You know, the usual right? Winter is tough as we don't have a place to go to exercise out of the weather. I live 1/2 hour from the nearest town with a grocery store etc. and the library is the only place to go indoors where one doesn't feel they have to spend money. I am on a very fixed income so that is important.
